Demand the County Board to Construct a New, Improved Animal Shelter

Demand the County Board to Construct a New, Improved Animal Shelter

The Issue

I am a concerned pet owner and animal lover deeply troubled by the deplorable condition of our county animal shelter. Our friends without a voice deserve an environment that is safe, clean, and above all, a place where they are treated with kindness and care. Unfortunately, the current conditions do not meet these basic standards.

The United States has over 3,500 animal shelters nationwide accommodating around 6.5 million animals annually, according to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Despite this vast network, several shelters, like ours, fall short in providing necessary amenities and treatment to these animals owing to outdated infrastructure or a lack of funding.

In the case of the Clay Co Animal Shelter, The Clay County board is sitting on 3 million dollars and still refuses to provide a safe environment for these animals.
The shelter building was built in 1973 and is run down and outdated!

With your support, we can urge the County Board to build a new, better-equipped animal shelter that meets the needs of our community's animals. This shelter should not only be a temporary home for animals but a beacon of hope for them as they await their forever homes.

Let us work together to ensure our pets and animals get the care, respect, and love they deserve. Please sign this petition and demand the county board to build a new, improved animal shelter.
