"Demand the California Franchise Tax Board to Reinstate the Yolanda Terrace Condominium's HOA"

"Demand the California Franchise Tax Board to Reinstate the Yolanda Terrace Condominium's HOA"
The Issue
As a homeowner within the Yolanda Terrace condo community, I deeply understand the significance of having a functional Homeowners Association (HOA). Our HOA plays a central role in enabling us to buy and sell our properties, rent-out, secure loans, and, especially critical in these trying times, seek disaster relief. However, we currently face an extreme crisis.
In January of 2025, unprecedented winds paired with wildfires caused severe damage to Los Angeles, especially to our community. Our need for timely and efficient disaster relief is critical, and yet, our community is currently hindered by the unfortunate reality that our HOA has been suspended by the California Franchise Tax Board due to the former management company's mismanagement of our previous tax returns. Our new board and management company has since taken the steps to become compliant with the state and we now seek reinstatement of good standing with the FTB.
Without the HOA, we are unable to be fully compliant and cannot seek the disaster relief we desperately need to rebuild and fortify our community in the face of potential future disasters. Moreover, everyday transactions for homeowners, from buying to renting, have become laden with unnecessary difficulties.
Therefore, we urgently request the reinstatement of our HOA by the Franchise Tax Board. This action is not just essential for the prevention of undue hardship on the homeowners within the Yolanda Terrace condo community but also for the well-being of our community at large. It's time that we take control of our future in the face of adversity. Sign the petition to demand the reinstatement of our HOA and advocate for the resilience of the Yolanda Terrace condo community.
