Demand The AMC to Establish AMC Examination Centre in the Arab World

The Issue

I am one among many doctors who have had to spend enormous resources to sit for the AMC 1 MCQ exam. I had to travel great distances, endure excessive costs for flights tickets, hotel expenses and visa applications. All because there is no examination venue allocated in the Arab World, in spite of the presence of many Pearson Vue examination centres, which are fully equipped and capable of hosting such exams either in the UAE or Egypt.

The lack of a local examination centre has placed an undue burden on us the medical professionals of the Arab World, creating unnecessary barriers to our professional progress. The situation can be simply rectified by allowing us to sit for the exam in many of the available Pearson Vue centres.

Accordingly, we address this petition to the Australian Medical Council to demand the establishment of an examination venue for the AMC 1 MCQ in the Arab World. The presence of a venue closer to us will immensely alleviate a huge portion of the financial, logistical, and emotional strain we currently face due to the lack of a local testing site. It will also increase the opportunities and accessibility for Arab doctors to get their qualifications recognized.

We respectfully ask the Australian Medical Council to demonstrate its commitment of providing equal opportunities for medical professionals everywhere. Now it is the time to alleviate the burden on Arab doctors, by allowing them to be on equal footing with other professionals from around the world.

Sign this petition to support our demand and let's build a more equitable healthcare world together.
