Ed Kraus, the current Mayor of Solon, Ohio, has recently come under scrutiny due to several incidents that have negatively impacted our community. It is imperative for the welfare and future of our city that he resigns from his position immediately. His lack of transparency, questionable policymaking, and failure to address the pressing issues affecting Solon residents have led to a loss of trust in our local government. 

The most concerning issue arrises with the mysterious case of Mayor Ed Kraus supposedly crashing city-owned vehicles on at least one or more occasions, with the incidents being covered up without proper legal proceedings, presumably at the expense of the tax payers of Solon. The evidence is damning.

Furthermore, significant financial mismanagement under Mayor Kraus’s leadership has been a red flag. Previous budgets have lacked clarity, and there have been instances of improperly budgeted funds that have been used for important community projects (such as the “$990,000” as promised by Mayor Kraus Rails To Trails project that ended up costing over $5,000,000). These financial discrepancies have directly impacted the functioning and development of our beloved city.

Not to mention suspicious ties to the notoriously problematic Chagrin Valley Islamic Center, which has been the center of controversy from fearful community members due to the mosque’s open harboring and promotion of radicalism, antisemitism, and anti-Christianity along with other problematic ideologies and behaviors.

 
In light of these reasons, we, the concerned citizens of Solon, demand immediate accountability and leadership change. It is not only our democratic right but also our responsibility to ensure that our city's leader acts with integrity, transparency, and in the best interest of its residents.

We urgently call on Solon City Council and other relevant authorities to take immediate action in addressing these concerns and initiating Mayor Kraus’s resignation process. Let us uphold the values of our community by ensuring that leadership is characterized by honesty and commitment to progress.
