Demand Termination of Detective Braiden Garcia From Livonia Police Department

The Issue

This petition originates from a deeply personal incident involving Detective Braiden Garcia of the Livonia Police Department. Unfortunately, I experienced first-hand the misconduct and misrepresentation by Detective Garcia. He not only attempted to falsely charge me with two misdemeanors and a felony but also committed perjury, lying under oath. It is pertinent to note that the consequences did not only besmirch my reputation but resulted in my 45-day incarceration, all rooted in his corruption and lies.

It is not a singular incident, and Police misconduct is, unfortunately, a nationwide issue. According to a study by the National Police Misconduct Reporting Project in 2010, around 1% of all police officers commit police misconduct in some form or another, and perjury is a significant subset of it.

As such, we demand the termination of Detective Braiden Garcia from the Livonia Police Department. We firmly believe he no longer deserves to pursue a career in law enforcement by virtue of his actions that not only violate basic professional principles but also the laws he is supposed to uphold and protect.

We, therefore, encourage you to take a stand against corruption and sign this petition, seeking justice and protecting innocent lives from further victimization. We deserve law enforcement that will uphold justice truly and fairly. Stand with us today. Sign the petition.
