I am a resident of Lanuza, Surigao del Sur, and I have seen firsthand the damaging effects of polluted air on our community. Our health is at risk, and the beautiful environment we call home is being destroyed. Polluted air can cause significant harm to living things including humans. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), air pollution contributes to 7 million premature deaths globally each year.

In our town of Lanuza, we are experiencing this global issue at a local level. The quality of our air has deteriorated over time due to various factors such as industrial emissions and vehicle exhausts. This not only affects us but also threatens the rich biodiversity that our region is known for.

We urge the local government officials in Lanuza, Surigao del Sur to implement stricter regulations on industries causing significant amounts of pollution and promote cleaner alternatives for transportation within our area. We need your help in ensuring that future generations will be able to breathe clean air in their own hometown.
