The Issue

As someone who stands firmly against any form of sexual violence, I am appalled by the recent statements made by Megyn Kelly. In a shocking and unsettling commentary, Kelly referred to infamous sex offender Jeffrey Epstein as someone who was merely "into the barely legal type," referencing his victims who were minors, including 15-year-olds. Such remarks are not only deeply irresponsible but are also damaging in trivializing the severity of Epstein's crimes and the trauma endured by his victims.

To allow commentary that minimizes or justifies such atrocious acts is to become complicit in the culture that allows them to persist. Megyn Kelly is a public figure with a wide-reaching platform, and her words carry weight. By attempting to downplay Epstein's actions, she is, in effect, normalizing behavior that preys on the most vulnerable among us—our children.

It is crucial that we hold individuals and companies accountable for their actions and associations. Sirius XM, which hosts Megyn Kelly, as well as her show’s sponsors, have a responsibility to their audience and to societal norms of decency and justice. They must not stand by or indirectly endorse viewpoints that apologize for pedophilia.

We call on Sirius XM to terminate Megyn Kelly’s contract immediately and to condemn her statements publicly. Furthermore, we urge all of her sponsors to withdraw their financial support and sever all ties with her brand to send a message that such rhetoric is unacceptable and has no place in our media.

Let us take a stand to ensure that the voices on platforms as influential as Sirius XM are ones that promote justice, truth, and respect for victims. Sign this petition and demand accountability. Sign now to protect the integrity of our media and the safety of our children.
