Our petition calling for accountability from Sierra Pacific Industries (SPI) has now surpassed 1,000 signatures — a thousand voices united by one message: no one is above transparency or consequence.
Since the petition began, hundreds of supporters have reviewed the same public records, sworn documents, and law-enforcement materials that prompted this call for oversight. Those records show that individuals employed by or representing SPI have been connected to documented misconduct, including the public disclosure of a survivor’s identity, a felony arrest, and sworn allegations contained in court filings and police reports. These are verifiable facts drawn directly from public documents, not anonymous claims.
Despite this growing scrutiny, SPI’s leadership has remained completely silent — offering no public statement, no acknowledgment of the documented evidence, and no indication of internal accountability. For a corporation that controls millions of acres of public-impact land and influences environmental policy across the western United States, that silence is not neutrality — it is avoidance.
The public now expects an answer. SPI’s executives and board members are being called upon to publicly address these records and explain what actions, if any, have been taken to investigate or correct the misconduct tied to their organization. A company of this scale cannot claim ethical credibility while refusing to respond to verified evidence of harm. Accountability is not optional — it is the minimum standard of public trust.
Across the country, the No Kings Protests have made clear that people are no longer willing to accept systems where wealth and status shield wrongdoing. The same principle drives this petition. No company — regardless of its landholdings, lobbying reach, or billionaire owners — should be immune from scrutiny when evidence of harm, abuse, or retaliation emerges.
With over 1,000 signers now on record, this coalition will proceed with formal submissions of documentation to oversight bodies and journalists who have requested verification. Each signature strengthens the evidence that accountability is not a fringe demand — it’s a civic expectation.
Thank you to everyone who has stood up, signed, and shared. Continue to circulate the petition and the records that support it. The more light we shine, the less room there is for silence.
