Demand Royal Mail to Change Lavender Grange's Postcode from SG16 to SG5 #PostcodeFix

Demand Royal Mail to Change Lavender Grange's Postcode from SG16 to SG5 #PostcodeFix
The Issue
As a resident of Lavender Grange, I am personally affected by the postcode issue that has been plaguing our community. Despite being part of North Herts Council and Ickleford parish, our properties have been assigned an SG16 postcode by Royal Mail for 'operational reasons'. This discrepancy has caused numerous problems for us residents. Our land registry is in Ickleford, Hertfordshire and our mortgages and deeds are linked to this registry. We pay council tax to North Herts District Council (NHDC), yet we are not recognised as such due to the incorrect postcode.
Moreover, emergency services struggle with locating addresses in our area because they do not recognise it as mapped. The postal service itself is inconsistent at best - deliveries can take several days due to the 'operational reasons' cited by Royal Mail.
We understand that neither North Herts Council nor Ickleford parish council have control over this issue anymore. However, we believe that if enough residents request an address change via Royal Mail, we may be able to rectify this situation.
This petition seeks your support in urging Royal Mail to reconsider their decision and assign us an SG5 postcode which accurately reflects our location within North Herts Council jurisdiction and improves operational efficiency for emergency services and postal delivery alike.
Please sign this petition today so together we can resolve this pressing issue affecting all Lavender Grange residents!
