As a dedicated Roku user, I am facing an issue that affects not only me but also countless others. The current Roku remote is only capable of controlling the Roku player and TV, leaving us unable to control our other home audio equipment. This limitation forces us to buy only Roku brand home audio equipment, which is neither fair nor practical.

Unlike its competitors such as Samsung, Apple, Android TV, and Amazon Fire TV that allow AV/Audio equipment control via IR on their wireless remotes, Roku has yet to implement this feature. This lack of functionality is not due to a hardware limitation; all it would take from Roku's side is a software update sent to their wireless remotes.

This situation presents an unnecessary inconvenience for users who have invested in high-quality AV/Audio systems from various brands. It restricts our choice and freedom as consumers while creating an unfair advantage for the company itself.
