I am one among many invested in the universe of Riot Games' popular multiplayer video game, "League of Legends". Passionately, I dedicate countless hours to understanding its rich lore and bonding with its diverse characters. One such cherished connection is between characters Jhin and Pyke, a pairing I and thousands more ship and would like to see canonized. It may seem like a small request to some, but turning JhinPyke into an official pair would bring great joy to many fans in the gaming community.

Within the community, we've woven intricately detailed stories and artworks on this relationship, turning it into a virtual world phenomenon. A 2020 survey of "League of Legends" fandoms revealed that 35% of respondents valued the relationships and pairings between characters as one of their primary areas of interest (LoL Fan Census, 2020). This continued interest only demonstrates the game is more than just battles, it's about relish and camaraderie that these relationships bring. 

Jhin and Pyke would make a great couple. First of all, they share more interests together than Jhin does with Hwei, which is the most important aspect of their relationship. Jhin and Pyke could get along easily, mostly because they share the same obsession over the act of murder in its finest. Amongst other things about this topic, Jhin has a fixation about death, and who could be more of object of obsession for him other than Pyke himself – the person who died, and could be killed again and again? Other than that, Jhin loves number four it’s a well-known fact. Pyke’s execution mark, along with his name, has 4 points and edges, and four letters in it. Jhin and Pyke share 5 skinlines, which is more than Xayah and Rakan do.

Currently I have gathered information from sending more support tickets to Riot Games about the game lore, and have received the answers I needed the most – the current location of Jhin and Pyke. It turned out to be Piltover/Zaun, which really adds the last piece of the puzzle. Knowing that JhinPyke can meet each other there, especially having same interests (just a little different motivations) and “profession”, it can be put under the light of them at least becoming friends, or, in the best possible way, a couple (that would love each other to death).

The power of representation is vital, and by validating JhinPyke, Riot Games would not only further engage their community but also underline that every members' interests and identifications matter. We demand Riot Games to officially acknowledge JhinPyke and canonize their relationship, respecting and honoring the time and passion its players put in the game.
