Demand resignation of Ministers over ethanol fuel mandate

Demand resignation of Ministers over ethanol fuel mandate
The Issue
As a hardworking individual, purchasing a car is a significant achievement. We've invested our hard-earned money into these vehicles, not expecting to change them every two years—an expense that politicians easily afford, but we cannot. The mandated use of ethanol-blended fuel threatens the longevity of our vehicles and places an undue burden on ordinary citizens.
Recent government policies, driven by Transport Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari and Petroleum Minister Shri Hardeep Singh, have enforced the compulsory use of ethanol-blended fuels. These policies may have been crafted under the guise of environmental benefits, but they overlook the negative impact on vehicle durability and the financial strain on the average consumer.
Furthermore, allegations are surfacing regarding conflicts of interest, particularly concerning Mr. Nitin Gadkari's family's financial gains from the ethanol industry. Such conflicts call into question the integrity of these mandates and whether they serve public interest or private financial interests.
Ethanol-blended fuels, although potentially beneficial for reducing emissions, have been shown to cause greater wear and tear on vehicles not specifically designed to handle them. This will inevitably lead to increased maintenance costs and a shortened lifespan for many cars, significantly affecting those who can least afford it.
Therefore, we call for the immediate resignation of both Shri Nitin Gadkari and Shri Hardeep Singh to restore public trust and ensure that the decisions impacting millions are made transparently and without personal gain.
By signing this petition, you support the demand for accountability and transparent governance. Together, we can hold our leaders responsible and push for policies that truly benefit the people rather than select individuals. Please sign to protect our rights as consumers and vehicle owners.
