Growing up in Seattle, I've passionately followed the city's hockey journey since the 1990s. As a lifelong fan, I've poured my heart and soul into supporting our team, through highs and lows, because I believe in the power of sports to unite our community.

When the Seattle Kraken finally graced the NHL, our city erupted with excitement and hope. The return of hockey was a dream come true for so many of us, and we deserved it. However, witnessing the recent trajectory of our beloved team has been disheartening, to say the least.

The leadership of Ron Francis, as General Manager, and Jason Botterill, as his assistant, have left much to be desired. Under their tenure, the team's decisions have often puzzled fans and analysts alike, resulting in lackluster performance and diminishing hopes for a brighter future.

The statistics speak for themselves. In terms of team performance, the Kraken have struggled to meet expectations, often ranking near the bottom of the table. Poor draft choices, questionable trades, and inadequate team strategy have contributed to a team that fails to compete effectively in the NHL. Prolonged periods in the bottom rankings are not something Seattle fans deserve after waiting so long for their hockey dreams to be realized.

The city of Seattle deserves a hockey team that reflects the pride and passion of its fans. We deserve leaders who are committed to making strategic and well-informed decisions, ensuring the team's success on the ice. Change is urgently needed.

We call upon the Seattle Kraken ownership to reconsider the leadership at the helm of our hockey operations. By replacing Ron Francis and Jason Botterill with experienced and dynamic individuals, we can reignite the hope and enthusiasm that initially accompanied the Kraken's entry into the NHL.
