Demand repeal of outdated colonial laws in India AND STOP CORRUPTION
The Issue
As an Indian citizen who deeply values our nation's vibrant democracy and the promises enshrined in our Constitution, I have always believed that the Indian Constitution is a living document. It is designed to evolve with the times and adapt to the needs of its people. In recent years, we've witnessed significant legislative changes that underscore a conscious effort to move away from the shackles of colonial legacies. Laws are being reformed to reflect the aspirations of a New India and its people.
However, there remain areas within our legislative framework where outdated, suppressive measures continue to linger. This threatens the fundamental rights of Indian citizens and inhibits our progress as a modern democratic nation. The persistence of certain laws and schemes, established during British rule, in direct contradiction to our fundamental rights, is something that requires immediate attention and action from our government.
The Indian Constitution empowers the government and its citizens to remedy the inequities of the past and ensure that outdated colonial laws do not mitigate the freedoms guaranteed to every Indian. It is essential for our legislative framework to fully embody principles of justice, equality, and liberty, as envisioned by our Constitution.
Recent governmental initiatives have indicated a willingness to reform, yet more needs to be done. We urge the Indian Government to conduct a comprehensive review of all laws originating from colonial times and take urgent steps to amend or repeal those that do not align with our fundamental rights. This includes engaging constitutional experts, historians, and the broader public to ensure a balanced and representative legal system.
1). EMPLOYEES of government, private, autonomous bodies are treated differently- like FREEDOM OF SPEECH, NORMS FOR HAVING NOCs FOR ABROAD, TRANSFERS, PROMOTIONS TIMELY BASED ON APPROVED STRUCTURES IF AT ALL NOT MODIFIED, REQUESTS TO REPRESENT AND RAISE THEIR VOICES IF WANT TO SAY ABOUT ANY THING LIKE AS A CITIZEN WITHOUT FEAR AND BEING TREATED DIFFERENTLY as acquired and set by those colonial rulers. COLONIAL RULERS wanted slaves for their work and wanted to rule for forever because THEY NEVER BELIEVED INDIANS AS EQUAL CITIZENS.
2). SEEING AND HAVING SAME DOCUMENTATIONS LIABILITY AND RESTRICTIONS BASED ON NATURE OF WORK , FOR ALL GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT AND ALL EMPLOYESS WHETHER PERMANENT/ CONTRACT BASED/ DIRECT OR INDIRECT RECRUITMENT, EVEN FROM THE INDIAN POLITICAL REPRESENTATIVES WHO ALSO DIRECTLY HAVE BENEFITS MORE THAN ANYONE TO KNOW THINGS IN ADVANCE IN CAMPARISON TO ANY OTHER CITIZENS ABOUT THINGS/PROJECTS/ SCHEMES/POLICIES.
why not they also brought under rules to use their government status for merely serving the nation rather showing it that they are even more active than the soldiers protecting the borders many a times.
3). All , even normal people compare the facilities of government should be at the par with those who are giving at private sector.
I WANT TO ASK A SERIOUS QUESTION , IF BOTH HAVE SAME SERIOUS AND SIMILAR EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION, WHY IT IS THAT ONE CAN GIVE YOU BETTER RESULT AND THE OTHER ONE CAN NOT???
HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT WHY IT IS SO???
IS IT REALLY LACKING OF EXPERTISE OR OTHERWISE?????
ALWAYS A PERSPECTIVE MERELY SPECUALTION BECAUSE WE DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT ACTUALLY SERVING MEANS IN REAL!!!!!!!!!
Service is of many kind, yet The best one is done and said by others as an example not by their own mouth - again following colonial rulers status symbolism to show they are now FACTORS of COLONIAL Factories and STILL BEING PROUD TO LOOT HONEST TAXPAYERS MONEY FOR MOONLIGHTING. MOONLIGHTING IN GOVERNMENT ROLE BE IT A SIMPLE ADVISOR , SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED AT ALL, IT MIGHT BECOME A LOOPHOLE TO ALLOW CORRUPTION,MAY BE HAPPENING OR MIGHT HAPPEN.
IF IN THE NAME OF EXPERTISE , IT IS BEING ALLOWED , THEN WHY TO RESTRICT ANY OTHER KIND OF PERMANENT / SEMI-PERMANENT EMPLOYEES TO DO THAT.
EVEN POLITICANS HAVE SAME THING NOW A DAYS. MOONLIGHTING MORE PROMINENTLY EVEN WITHOUT ANY SCRUTINY JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT HOLDING ANY POSITIONS YET HAVING ALL INFROMATIONS AND SOURCES TO INVEST WITHOUT ANY CONFIDENTIALITY CLAUSE AT ALL.
MEANING,A GROUP D EMPLOYEE , BE IT 10TH PASS , IS MORE CAPABLE TO EARN MONEY MORE QUICKLY THAN THESE SO CALLED ELITES SIMILAR TO COLONIAL RULE .
4). POSITION/OFFICE OF PROFIT?????
WHO HAS THE MOST IMPORTANT POSITION IN INDIA TO HOLD THAT..I DON'T FEEL THE NEED TO SAY ABOUT IT.
THEN, WHY THEY ARE NOT RESTRICTED THE MOST AND OTHERS ARE RESTRICTED ?????
IS IT NOT THE SAME HIREARCHY AS ADOPTED BY THE COLONIAL RULERS?????
ETC.......
By addressing these colonial remnants, we can build a more equitable society and pave the way for truly self-determined governance.
India, a nation rich in heritage and diversity, deserves a legal system that is reflective of its people’s needs and aspirations – free from the vestiges of colonial dominance.
I am calling on all fellow citizens who believe in the promise of true freedom to lend their voices in support of this cause. Together, we can urge the government to take action that reflects the democratic ideals we hold dear.
Please sign this petition and become a part of transforming our legal landscape to align with the vision of a progressive India.
