The recent policy shifts within the Rocky River City School District have unveiled a deeply flawed framework, highlighting the urgent need for accountability and change at the governance level. Two board members, Addie Olander and Kelly Frindt, whose decisions have driven these misguided policies, must be held responsible for establishing an environment that is punitive, incoherent, and untenable for skilled administrators--an environment that is producing a mass exodus with no one to fill these vacancies. 

Board members have referred to administrators as "inconsequential" and "low hanging fruit" and even directly stated that what administrators currently have is illegal--policies that are congruent with every district in the area. This of course is coming from Board members who, not long ago, faced their own legal controversies—involving a trip to the police department.

The community's future hinges on rigorous, fair, and transparent governance practices. Removing these two board members responsible for these detrimental policies sends a powerful message that the RRCSD community will not tolerate practices that devalue the vital contributions of any of our educators.  Think about the damage that this is doing just year -- but what about 5 years from now? 10 years from now?
