I am a resident of Baltimore, MD and recently had to pay $4000 for car repairs due to the damage caused by potholes on our city's roads. This is not just my problem - it's an issue that affects all residents who use these roads daily. We need to hold the Maryland Department of Transportation and the City of Baltimore accountable for maintaining regular maintenance on all highways and streets in our city.

Our city has been neglected for far too long. According to TRIP, a national transportation research group, 53% of major roads in the Baltimore area are in poor condition (TRIP report, 2018). This lack of maintenance not only causes unnecessary expenses for vehicle owners but also poses safety risks.

We cannot continue to bear these costs while those responsible for maintaining our infrastructure fail us. We demand that the Maryland Department of Transportation and the City of Baltimore commit to regular maintenance schedules for all highways and streets within their jurisdiction.
