A major pipe burst recently occurred at the University of Massachusetts Boston (UMB), leading to a really tough situation for a lot of students. This incident has unfortunately displaced hundreds of students from their homes on campus, and many have had their personal belongings severely damaged or completely destroyed.

The impact has been severe, with many students losing almost everything they own. Their personal belongings, including textbooks, clothing, and important documents, were destroyed or rendered unusable, leaving them with practically nothing and facing immense challenges to continue their academic lives.

Because of this devastating event, we are petitioning for a full refund of housing fees or, at the very least, a waiver of all housing payments for the month of February for all affected students. This petition aims to bring attention to their urgent need for support, whether it's help with housing, financial aid, or replacing their lost essentials, so they can get back on their feet.
