Demand Refund for 14th July Wireless Festival Due to Clash with Euro Final
Demand Refund for 14th July Wireless Festival Due to Clash with Euro Final
The Issue
Like countless other enthusiastic music fans and football supporters, I paid for a full day at the Wireless Festival scheduled on Sunday, 14th July. This day, now etched in history, ended up clashing with England's monumental game in the Euro final. Given the significance, it was inevitable that I, like many others, would be pulled away to support our national team in their historic bid for the championship. Not being able to fully enjoy the festival we paid for due to a national event of this scale certainly left many of us feeling shortchanged. It's important to note that reselling our tickets wasn't practical as most of the country was tuned into the football match, effectively reducing the market for potential buyers. A report by the Guardian mentioned that a staggering 30.95 million people watched the Euro final in the UK (Source: The Guardian), further emphasizing this point. Therefore, it seems only reasonable to ask for a fair refund. After all, we didn't ask for these two events to happen on the same day. It's time Wireless Festival organizers acknowledge this unfortunate clash and compensate their loyal patrons accordingly. Sign this petition to urge them to take appropriate action and refund the cost for the all-day pass for the festival.
