Demand Pillar Property Management to Reevaluate Leases and Improve Living Conditions

The Issue

 Help Me too Hold Pillar property management accountable for neglecting  their obligation to upfront terms fraudulent unethical  practices

I am a  disable asthmatic tenant who has been personally affected by the practices of Pillar Property Management in Bronx, NY. My experiences have led me to believe that this company is sourcing tenants from  shelters, including MICA programs, only to place them in vacant apartments within deteriorating buildings. The leases provided by the company contain false fraudulent information of  non hazardous conditions,   their refusal to make necessary repairs  unwilling ness too accommodate disable individuals which result in many tenants living with flawed toxic conditions.

I have personally  been scammed  in to signing a lease  after  having Pillar and their third party associates  withhold  important information involving my lease with their very available defective non renovated property I have had trouble with management in the past with making corrections and removing toxic elements such as molded surfaces, asbestos filled vents   from my apartment. This negligence has caused me to become sick on many occasions after unsuccessful attempts at rectification. I have experienced  being late for work asides from appointments after having  too wait long periods of time for the elevator  I myself am a bit tired of non working buttons with very little response or corrective actions This is not just my story - it's a reality for many others who are forced into these conditions due to lack of alternatives.i know my fellow building  occupies have experienced similar acts including denial for official documents along with better amenity Services 

 

 

 

Pillar Property Management's actions are not only unethical but also potentially illegal. According to New York State law, landlords are required to maintain rental properties in habitable condition (source: New York Attorney General’s Office). Yet, we continue facing issues such as denial of access claims when seeking repairs or improvements.

 


We demand that Pillar Property Management reevaluates its lease for accuracy and fairness. We also call for an immediate improvement in living conditions through timely repairs and removal of any toxic elements present within their properties. We also request a mandatory  elevator  restoration  for both devices in the building as the slow motion malfunctions are a real big inconvenience to all tenants
