Petco is known to use improper husbandry when it comes to thier live rodents, reptiles and amphibians. This causes many owners who got thier pets from petco to have agressive pets, pets with sickness which either lead to death or expensive vet bills. Petco continues to spread misinformation on proper pet care and knowingly neglect their animals. I once asked an employer what age a baby gecko was, that i was considering to buy, and the employer said petco withheld the  information of the age of these reptiles and where they came from.

One of many possible examples of petco neglecting their animals: petco keeps thier bettas in cups. Bettas require a 5 gallon tank with a heater, filtration system and plenty of silk or live plants to hide in. 

I once bought a bearded dragon from petco and he died of cloacal prolapse after only 13 days of owning him. He meant the world to me, this is what  sparked my need for change.
