The Issue

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), also known as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, affects approximately 1 million people in the U.S. alone (source: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). As the population grappling with this debilitating illness rises, so does the call for effective treatment modalities. Unfortunately, the present CFS Exercise Therapy, primarily utilized by Pennsylvania clinics, is proving to be severely ineffective and potentially harmful. Numerous studies, including those from the National Institutes of Health, demonstrate that this particular method of treatment exacerbates symptoms instead of alleviating them. This flawed approach to therapy not only dismisses patients' experiences but also significantly impedes their quality of life. We urgently request the Pennsylvania health authority to re-evaluate its support for this method and explore more beneficial, evidence-based alternatives. Your signature can help us stress this urgent need for reevaluation. Please sign on today.
