EMAIL NYU HERE TO DEMAND THEY CANCEL THE EVENT (write your name on the bottom!)

On April 10th, NYU is hosting an event featuring multiple white supremacist speakers on its campus. The event features panelists Elijah Schaffer, Sarah Stock, and Lucian Wintrich—figures widely known for promoting white supremacist, xenophobic, and hateful rhetoric that directly endangers and targets members of the NYU community; this panel has been advertised using posters containing misinformation and overt racial stereotyping— we’ve attached the poster below for your review.

Elijah Schaffer has a documented history of spreading racist disinformation, including fabrications about Haitian communities, and has been pictured with known extremists, including alleged white supremacist and pedophile Matt Gaetz. His promotional materials for this event have included AI-generated imagery depicting racist caricatures of Black men, alongside a violent and dehumanizing slogan: “Why do these illegals keep graping and unaliving us?” Elijah was also fired from conservative media site "The Blaze" for sexual assault.

Sarah Stock is a Christian nationalist who has repeatedly called for a white cultural hegemony in the United States. She has shared anti-abortion extremism and xenophobic narratives targeting immigrants, all while presenting herself as a voice for white nationalism.

Lucian Wintrich is similarly known for promoting white supremacist views. He has accused school shooting victims who advocate for gun control of being “trained actors,” and has repeatedly made derogatory, xenophobic statements about immigrants. Lucian was a journalist for conservative news site The Gateway Pundit which was sued multiple times for spreading fake news.

At a time when the NYU campus is already reeling from an Islamophobic attack on the Bobst prayer room and a racist hack of the university website, it is unacceptable that such individuals are being given a platform to incite further hate and division. NYU’s continued tolerance—if not facilitation—of events that invite known extremists sends a clear and dangerous message to students, especially those from marginalized backgrounds.

We demand the immediate cancellation of this panel and a clear statement from the university condemning white supremacy and affirming its commitment to the safety and dignity of all students.

Silence is complicity. NYU must act.
