As residents of Sault Ste. Marie and the surrounding area, we are deeply affected by the noise pollution caused by the Sault College Aviation program. The incessant roar of aircraft engines disrupts our daily lives and peace of mind. This issue is personal to me as I, like many others, am constantly disturbed by the loud noises produced by these planes.

The current aircraft used in this program are outdated and generate excessive noise due to their old equipment. We urge Sault College to take immediate action in updating their fleet with modern, quieter equipment that will significantly reduce engine noise.

Noise pollution is not just a nuisance; it has been linked to numerous health issues including stress-related illnesses, high blood pressure, sleep disruption, and even heart disease (World Health Organization). Our community deserves better than this.

We also ask for transparency from both the college and airport in communicating any initiatives or progress made towards reducing this noise pollution. It's crucial that we work together as a community to address this issue effectively.
