Demand NC State Release Remediation Documents for PCB-Infected Buildings

The Issue

I am a student at NC State, and I am frightened. Like many others, I have spent countless hours in various buildings on campus, diligently pursuing my education while unknowingly being put at risk of exposure to Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs), chemicals linked to cancer. The thought that we are potentially jeopardizing our health by merely attending class is deeply disturbing.

These PCBs were discovered in 22 buildings across our campus, a fact that has shaken our trust in the institution. As students, staff, and members of the Raleigh community, we deserve transparency and assurance that our safety and well-being have been safeguarded. We demand that NC State release the remediation documents for these buildings, showing beyond doubt that they are safe for occupation.

We implore NC State to prioritize transparency and the health of their students by releasing these remediation documents in a timely manner and allowing us to make informed decisions about our safety. Please, sign this petition to help ensure our right to a safe educational environment is upheld.
