Despite this, there is an undeniable feeling among us, the students, that the institution does not provide sufficient care socially, culturally, and most importantly, financially. Our needs extend beyond classrooms and lecture halls; they intertwine with real-world support systems that Morehouse seems to overlook.

The financial burdens we face are distressing. For many of us, attaining education at a prestigious institution like Morehouse is a dream built on sacrifices, hoping for a supportive community. Yet, often we struggle silently as adequate financial aid options are not accessible, leaving many potential Melanin-illuminated leaders at the mercy of financial hardships.

Additionally, the lack of social and cultural support diminishes our college experiences. Morehouse needs to foster an environment that helps students thrive not only academically but personally and socially. Initiating programs that bridge cultural gaps, providing platforms for social interactions, and addressing mental health are essential steps towards a complete educational experience.
