As a resident of Pleasant Hill, MO, I am deeply disturbed by the ongoing animal abuse happening right next door to me. My neighbor, Matt Fiala, who claims to run a dog training facility, has been repeatedly seen and heard abusing dogs that are entrusted to him. The abuse is severe and includes hitting, kicking, punching and throwing these innocent creatures. He even dangles them by their collars and throws buckets of water at them while they're kenneled. I have also see him throw off the deck approximately 10 feet from the ground and throw them down the deck stairs.

This isn't just my observation; other neighbors have witnessed this horrifying behavior as well and have recorded evidence of it. Despite our collective efforts in reporting this cruelty to local authorities which resulted in city citations being filed against Mr. Fiala with a court date set for March 2024 - we believe more needs to be done.

Animal cruelty is not just morally reprehensible but also illegal under Missouri law (Missouri Revised Statutes Section 578). We demand that state charges be filed against Matt Fiala for his blatant disregard for the welfare of animals under his care.
