Holmes Correctional Institution in Bonifay, FL, has repeatedly denied necessary medical care to Jody Fletcher, despite his documented health conditions. This negligence has put his life at risk, and we are calling on officials to transfer Jody home or to a facility where he can receive proper treatment.

Jody has been diagnosed with hyperlipidemia, which is strongly linked to chronic kidney disease (CKD). He requires regular kidney function monitoring and access to a specialist, yet Holmes C.I. has refused all requests for outside medical care without justification.

 Evidence of Negligence:  Jody has been on atorvastatin calcium 10 mg since February 2024, proving that the prison knew about his CKD risk but still denied specialist care.  His wife, Josie Fletcher, has had her Release of Information (ROI) denied multiple times, preventing her from securing proper medical intervention for him.  Despite medical records from Miracle Ear and his Orlando physicians, Holmes C.I. denied him a hearing aid, worsening his condition.

 What We Demand:  Immediate medical intervention for Jody, including access to a kidney specialist.  A transfer to a facility—or home—where he can receive proper care under his family’s supervision.  Accountability for Holmes C.I.’s negligence and failure to provide essential medical treatment to inmates.
