I'm calling on ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, NPR, CNN, the Associated Press, and other major American media outlets. Why? Because the stories of three murdered Black teenagers—Kayla Huff, Markavious Rumph, and Juliana Nzita—need national coverage. In just one month, these tragic events occurred, yet they barely reach public awareness. How many more remain unheard?

Kayla was kidnapped and found in the woods, Markavious was shot, burned, and dismembered, and Juliana was found hanging from a tree on church property, labeled a suicide without thorough investigation. It’s deeply concerning when their families must do the work that authorities neglect, searching for justice on their own. What does this say about our society when Black children become just another statistic in silence?

Media outlets, I ask you, where is the urgency? Political chaos dominates headlines, yet the silence is deafening when Black youth face violence. This lack of coverage fails to keep communities informed, prevents witnesses from stepping forward, and stops us from holding those in power accountable.

Black youth shape culture every day, yet when tragedy strikes, their stories fade into the background. The energy used for continuous political coverage needs to be redirected at amplifying the voices of these children and their grieving families, who deserve to be heard and respected.

Join me in demanding that major media outlets prioritize and report these stories. Let’s ensure that Kayla, Markavious, and Juliana, along with countless others, receive the visibility they deserve. Black children matter. Their stories matter. Help create pressure for change, bring awareness, and pursue justice. Media attention brings witnesses forward, creates public pressure, encourages accountability, and ensures families are not forced to fight alone. When stories are ignored, opportunities for justice can be ignored with them.
