Chennai does not need more river-cleanup announcements. It needs public proof: monthly data on sewage stopped, water quality improved, and money spent against deadlines.

1. The state has announced ₹7,500 crore in-principle first-phase approval for river restoration in 2026, building on an earlier ₹1,281.88 crore sanction. Yet citizens see no visible improvement in Adyar and Buckingham Canal, and TNPCB reports no significant improvement in Cooum and Adyar water quality despite repeated sanctions.
2. After years of announcements, what signers demand is a public ledger: monthly monitoring data for each river stretch, contractor-wise spending against milestones, and a deadline-based progress report with consequences for missed targets.
3. We are asking for three KPIs signers can verify: sewage outfall closure counts by stretch, STP capacity commissioned versus actually used, and dissolved oxygen/BOD by monitoring point every month.
4. This is not a request for protest. It is a request for transparency. Thousands can sign; the state can publish one monthly scorecard.
5. The target is clear: 10,000 signatures to trigger a demand for an open, citizen-driven KPI dashboard and a monthly public briefing.
6. We are ready to sign. We ask for one public scorecard.

• Publish monthly sewage outfall closure counts by river stretch (Cooum, Adyar, Buckingham Canal).

Signers expect measurable accountability and monthly public proof that money is translating into measurable river recovery.
