As a member of the Pahokee community, I am deeply disturbed by the endless cycle of corruption that has been presided over by Mayor Keith Babb. There have been numerous instances of missing funds, largely due to questionable contract assignments which are both ethically and morally challenging. Our city deserves leaders who are dedicated, honest, and have our best interests at heart.

Pahokee, with its small population, may not be the world’s largest city, but each of our citizens matter and we want our voices to be heard. We are suffering because of the misappropriation of city funds, and the residents have had enough of the negligence. Mayor Babb has shown blatant disregard for the very people who have trusted him to lead, and it’s time for this injustice to be rectified.

Regaining the trust of the community will take time and significant changes at the administrative level, starting with Mayor Keith Babb stepping down. It is time to restore integrity and transparency to the office of the Mayor in Pahokee, FL.
