Demand manual checking for CBSE 12th boards
Demand manual checking for CBSE 12th boards
The Issue
Having personally received satisfying results in two subjects of my CBSE Class 12th board exams, I was shocked and disappointed to find extremely low marks in English, Psychology, and Physical Education, subjects in which I have consistently performed well in school. This discrepancy in marks is not just my story; many students with excellent performance have similar grievances. It baffles me how students who have cleared competitive exams like JEE and scored over 650 in NEET cannot secure even 75% in their board exams.
The introduction of the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system by CBSE, though well-intentioned for efficiency, may be leading to these inconsistent results. Though technology can aid examinations, the subjective nature of certain subjects demands a more nuanced approach. A digital system lacks the ability to interpret creativity and subjective answers, unlike human evaluators who can appreciate the nuances and depth in students' responses.
We are not against technological advancements, but given the magnitude of the impact that Class 12th board results have on our futures, it's important that no student suffers due to potentially flawed evaluation algorithms of the OSM system. These scores dictate our eligibility for higher education and shape our career paths.
We implore the CBSE headquarters to hear our earnest plea for a fairer evaluation system. **We demand a revaluation option without a fee requirement**, allowing for manual checking of our exam papers. This would ensure that our academic records accurately reflect our capabilities and hard work.
This solution is not only fair but necessary to restore faith in the evaluation process. By doing this, CBSE will not only uphold the integrity of its examination standards but will also demonstrate empathy and support for students' academic journeys.
Please sign this petition to help us urge CBSE to take immediate action and correct these significant flaws in the current examination evaluation process. Your support is crucial to bring about the change that will ensure a just and reliable system for all students. Let's fight together for a better future.🙏🏻
