As a student at LREI, I have experienced firsthand the frustration and disappointment that comes with receiving a maximum grade of 9.5 out of 10, despite delivering work that deserves full marks. This grading system makes it impossible for any student to achieve a perfect score, which is fundamentally unfair and discourages academic excellence.

In our pursuit of knowledge and personal growth, we should be rewarded fairly for our efforts. The current grading system undermines this principle by setting an unattainable standard. It's not just about the numbers; it's about recognizing hard work and dedication.

According to educational research findings from Stanford University, fair grading practices are crucial for maintaining student motivation and promoting learning (Stanford University, 2018). By capping grades at less than perfect scores, our school is inadvertently creating an environment where students may feel their efforts are not fully recognized or valued.

We urge the school administration at LREI to reconsider this policy and adjust the maximum grade from 9.5/10 to a full score of 10/10. This change will not only reflect more accurately on students' performance but also foster an educational environment where everyone feels their hard work is adequately rewarded.
