When I decided to move into the second development of our neighborhood, I was assured by Lennar that we would enjoy access to the same amenities as those in the neighboring areas—specifically, I was promised that our development would have its own pool off Suttonridge. This promise was a crucial factor for my decision, and like many of my neighbors, I made the financial commitment and moved in with the anticipation of those amenities. However, what started as a promise of three pools for three different neighborhood developments shifted to just two pools and a park for the second development. Now, we are faced with the distressing possibility of not receiving any amenities at all while still seeing an increase in our Homeowner Association (HOA) dues, which were raised specifically for the planned amenities.

This issue is bigger than just our neighborhood; it is about holding companies accountable for their promises. Lennar gave us their word, and we have already financially adjusted with the understanding of what was promised. It's unfair and concerning that the land slated for these amenities may now be turned into additional housing units, depriving us of shared community spaces. This not only impacts our property values but also erodes trust in developer commitments.

It's important for Lennar to understand that they are not just dealing with plots of land and buildings; they are impacting people's lives, daily routines, and community dynamics. Communities thrive on shared spaces where residents can gather, relax, and form lasting relationships. Providing these essential amenities is fundamental to nurturing a vibrant community and ensuring resident satisfaction.

We urge Lennar to uphold their initial commitment and prioritize the construction of the promised amenities. It is necessary that they actively engage with residents to clarify their plans and timeline for developing these communal facilities. Transparency and fulfillment of promises will not only benefit our community but also uphold Lennar's reputation as a responsible and trustworthy developer.
