My son, Zaccai, has been wrongfully convicted and sentenced to 55 years in prison. This gross miscarriage of justice took place in Upstate New York where the system seems to have its own rules. Despite there being no DNA evidence or credible witnesses against him, he was railroaded by a District Attorney who has been in office since 1980 and a Probono Lawyer who failed to adequately represent him.

The prosecution called more than 20 witnesses while only two were allowed on my son's side. The imbalance is glaringly obvious and raises serious questions about the fairness of his trial. Witnesses that lied and tampered with other witnesses were used against my son, further skewing the truth.

Zaccai has already served five years of his sentence. During this time, he received his diploma despite the challenging circumstances - a testament to his resilience and determination for self-improvement. He also suffered an injury - a broken knuckle - but was denied necessary surgery by prison authorities.

I am now 52 years old, fighting tirelessly for my son's freedom because I believe in his innocence. We need your help to bring attention to this case so that Zaccai can receive the fair trial he deserves.
