Demand Justice for Wrongfully Convicted Individuals

Demand Justice for Wrongfully Convicted Individuals
The Issue
My son has been incarcerated for 13 years, wrongfully convicted of a crime he did not commit. The handling of his case was marred by questionable actions from the police officers involved, including the use of unrelated weapons as evidence during his trial. This is not just about my son; it's about the countless innocent men and women who are victims of a system that often fails to deliver justice.
The Innocence Project reports that since 1989, over 2,800 people have been exonerated in the United States after being wrongfully convicted due to various factors including misconduct by law enforcement (source: Innocence Project). These wrongful convictions do not only rob innocent individuals of their freedom but also allow actual perpetrators to go unpunished.
We demand an immediate review and reform in our criminal justice system to prevent such miscarriages of justice. We call upon lawmakers and relevant authorities to ensure transparency in investigations and trials, hold law enforcement accountable for any misconduct, and provide adequate support for those fighting to prove their innocence.
This is personal. It’s about my son who has spent more than a decade behind bars fighting for his innocence while I advocate tirelessly on social media platforms on his behalf. But it's also about all those who share our painful experience - families torn apart by wrongful convictions.
