Roz, a beloved community cat, was tragically and unlawfully shot. A beautiful and ethereal spirit, Roz was more than just a cat; he was a cherished member of our local community in Limassol, Cyprus. He may have been only two years old, but his impact was significant, his presence loving and comforting. Our hearts yearn for justice.

The incident has been reported in writing to Cyprus Law Enforcement without any person being prosecuted till now. The gunshot has taken place in a densely populated area (Omonoia) where families, children and elders reside. The community is shuttered by this and demands actions by the law enforcement. 

Every year, thousands of animal abuse cases are reported. According to statistics  the majority of these crimes go unprosecuted, leaving many creatures like Roz without the justice they deserve. We are calling on law enforcement and the legal system to diligently investigate Roz's case, and bring the assailant to justice. Only then can Roz's untimely demise not be in vain, and can we hope to deter any future incidents of such horrifying animal crimes.

This petition is extremely personal, not only for those who were privileged to know Roz, but anyone who believes in justice for all creatures, regardless of their species. Your signature will honor Roz's life, honor the love he brought into our lives, and send a strong message that animal cruelty cannot, and should not, be ignored. This is not just about Roz; it's about every animal that is mistreated and deserves justice.
