On 23rd July 2024, a horrific incident shook me as a UK citizen, making me question the security of our streets and the implementation of our laws. Mohammed Amaad and Fahir Amaaz brutally conducted a vicious assault on three police officers at Manchester Airport. Not only was their act disgraceful, it also crossed another horrifying threshold - they viciously targeted a female officer. Such an event is unacceptable in our society, where we condemn violence against women as a grave sin. 

No individuals, regardless of who they are, should be able to circumvent the law or escape punishment for such heinous crimes. It is imperative to ensure that justice is being served universally, not selectively. This incident is a glaring example of the kind of violence our law enforcement officers face daily, with over 30,000 assaults on officers recorded in England and Wales alone during 2019/20 (source: UK Home Office).

It's high time we took a stand to support our law enforcement and to ensure that offenders, no matter who they are, face the consequences of their actions. I appeal to every concerned UK citizen to join me in this quest for justice.
