I, along with countless others around the world, have been living in a state of constant torment as Targeted Individuals. Our lives have been disrupted beyond what anyone could ever imagine. In the name of unknown agendas, our human rights, civil rights, and the right to live decent lives in society have all been ruthlessly stripped away. It is devastating to admit that "dismantling" is an understatement for what we experience every single day.

Targeted Individuals are often subjected to organized stalking or electronic harassment – sinister actions that are not only inhumane but are also a gross violation of our basic human rights. According to the American Civil Liberties Union, surveillance invasions on innocent citizens have noticeably increased over the years, leading to numerous cases of harassment that remain largely invisible to the public eye due to their complex nature.

Such intrusions upon a person’s life are patently unjust. No individual should live in fear or under oppressive surveillance. These severe invasions of privacy and freedom are instances of psychological torture, as acknowledged by the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Torture, holding steady potential to cause distress, mental health issues, and societal alienation.

Through this petition, we are calling on lawmakers and human rights organizations to acknowledge the sufferings of Targeted Individuals and to put an end to these clandestine human rights abuses. Adequate laws need to be passed and enforced to protect individuals from organized stalking and electronic harassment, guaranteeing everyone the security and peace they rightfully deserve.
