Demand Justice for Robert Pond, Victim of Negligent Supervision

Demand Justice for Robert Pond, Victim of Negligent Supervision
The Issue
My name is Nicole Wood and I am a single mother and a first responder for Southern California. I work tirelessly to provide the best life possible for my children. However, on June 3rd, 2023, my world was shattered when my three-year-old son Robert was left alone in a jacuzzi without any flotation device on by his father who walked away to smoke a cigarette. In addition, Monterey Manor Mobile Home Park, where Robbie drowned, lacked all of the necessary life-saving equipment to assist in the rescue of a drowning victim. This reckless act has resulted in unimaginable consequences.
Robert is now four years old and fights every day as a spastic quadriplegic to regain what was taken from him due to this tragic incident. He had been preparing for Kindergarten before his near-fatal drowning incident.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), among children aged 1-4 years old, most drownings occur in home swimming pools. The majority of these incidents happen during moments when supervision is absent or distracted.
We believe that no child should suffer due to negligence, or lack of supervision, while around bodies of water - be it swimming pools or Jacuzzis. We advocate for mandatory life-saving equipment, including Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs), in all pools and jacuzzis. If Monterey Manor Mobile Home Park had such devices, Roberts' disabilities would have most likely been less severe. We demand justice for Robert Pond!
Please join us in our fight by signing this petition demanding justice for Robert by having Monterey Manor Mobile Home Park and Robert's father held accountable for their actions. Your support can make all the difference in ensuring that no other family has to endure such pain again.
