Nicolae Miu, a man who was recently found guilty in the Apple River Stabbing case, deserves justice. The court ruling has sparked controversy and raised questions about the fairness of our legal system. Self-defense is recognized as a fundamental right under international human rights law (source: United Nations). Yet in this case, it seems to have been overlooked. We believe that this judgment sets a dangerous precedent and undermines the principle of self-defense. It is crucial that we stand up for justice and demand a review of Nicolae Miu's case. Are we not able to defend ourselves? Are we allowing elder’s to be badgered and bullied? What happened to the victim who died is tragic, but what those teens did was create this horrible situation. Mr. Mui should not get a (basically life sentence) for this terrible mistake. He deserves a lesser charge and he deserves to be free.
