This is a plea for justice, a call to action for the tragic case of Najah Fields. In 2021, Najah was struck by an SUV while walking in Syracuse, NY. The driver of the vehicle was under the influence and left her paralyzed. A vibrant 27-year-old woman's life was irrevocably changed that day. Despite this horrific incident, we have not seen our day in court.

The driver who hit Najah was white; she is black. This fact alone raises questions about racial bias and inequality within our justice system. We have been unable to secure legal representation because the Syracuse Police Department has refused to release video evidence of the accident.

For three years now, we've faced ongoing health problems with frequent hospital visits due to complications from her injuries - all without any form of justice or compensation.

Najah deserves better than this; she deserves justice and fair treatment under law irrespective of her race or social status. We are asking you – members of our community – to join us in demanding that these videos be released so that we can finally seek legal representation and pursue justice for Najah.
