The Issue

Every year in America, many innocent lives are unduly lost as a result of domestic violence and sexual abuse. Our homes, havens of safety, are turning into places of terror for children. We recognize this matter hits too close to home for many, as it does for this petition starter, who is deeply moved by the tragic story of Madeline Soto, the innocent victim of this horrific and blatant injustice. We hold in memory the countless children who, like Madeline, fall prey to such predicaments within single-parent households, where their protectors become their tormentors.

The aim of this petition is not just to seek justice for Madeline Soto but also to spark a larger conversation about the pervasive reality of domestic abuse and its devastating impacts, particularly on children. In the United States alone, an estimated 3.3 million to 10 million children are exposed to domestic violence annually, according to the American Psychology Association. For Madeline, Jennifer Soto was not just a parental figure but also a perpetrator who needs to be held accountable for her alleged transgressions.

This is a call to local authorities, prosecutors, and all stakeholders involved. We demand legal action against Jennifer Soto in connection with the death of Madeline, so an example may have be set that such atrocities will not be tolerated. We need your support to bring about this change and hold abusers accountable for their actions. This is a chance to make a stand and make a difference, in memory of Madleine Soto, and for the protection of all children.

Please sign this petition to demand justice for Madeline Soto and push for accountability in systems meant to protect our children. We cannot rest until a change is made.
