The Issue

Kohen Wiley was just a year old when his life was tragically cut short during an officer-involved shooting outside a Walmart in Senatobia, Mississippi. Despite the seriousness of the situation, there have been no arrests, and Sergeant Hunter Foster, the officer involved, remains on administrative leave without charges. The lack of accountability and transparency in this case is unacceptable.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation reports that the inquiry into the incident could take up to nine months. They're examining a range of evidence, including body camera footage, dash cam footage, Walmart surveillance, forensic data, and witness statements. However, none of this footage has been made available to the public, leaving Kohen's family and the community in the dark.

Kohen’s family is fighting for an independent autopsy and continues to challenge the official narrative that the vehicle presented a threat to the officers. It's also important to note that no shoplifting charges have been pressed against anyone present in the vehicle at the time of the incident. These unaddressed questions are fueling a community’s calls for clarity and justice.

The protests in Senatobia are growing louder. However, rather than providing answers, authorities have met these peaceful demonstrations with tear gas, intensifying the controversy surrounding this case. Kohen Wiley's death has attracted national attention, and yet, progress has stalled.

It's time for transparency, accountability, and justice for Kohen and his family. We demand the immediate release of all video footage and a thorough, unbiased investigation. Only with clear answers can there be any hope for healing and justice. Please, sign this petition to support Kohen Wiley's family in their quest for truth and accountability.
