The Issue

Kohen Kartier Wiley, just one year old, was tragically and needlessly killed by an officer in Senatobia, Mississippi. This appalling event has left our community in shock and sorrow. Despite the gravity of his actions, the officer responsible remains unnamed and is currently on paid leave. It is unacceptable and deeply troubling that an officer who recklessly took the life of an innocent child faces no immediate consequences.

The initial claims made by law enforcement that the vehicle was driving towards them have proven to be baseless. Witnesses confirm there was no imminent threat that warranted such deadly force. Furthermore, it was confirmed that Kohen's mother had a receipt for her purchase, proving she did not commit any theft. This brave little boy and his family were unjustly targeted, resulting in a devastating and irreversible loss.

We cannot stand idly by while our children are at risk, nor can we allow those sworn to protect us to misuse their power without accountability. We must demand a thorough investigation and that the officer involved be suspended without pay immediately, pending the outcome. This is a necessary step toward justice for Kohen and essential to restoring trust in our police force.

Our broken hearts go out to Kohen and his family, but grief alone cannot drive change. We need action and we need it now. Only by standing together can we ensure this does not happen again. Stand with us to demand justice for Kohen, demand the immediate suspension of the officer involved, and ensure our community's faith in law enforcement can begin to be rebuilt. Sign the petition and help us make a change now.
