The severity of the situation is alarming, considering that as per statistics from the National Registry of Exonerations, around 54% of wrongful convictions in the United States are due to official misconduct including withholding of exonerating evidence. Kendrick was working towards taking the right path in his life. Yet, he’s not been given a chance to prove his innocence, effectively stonewalled by a court system that should be impartial and just.
