Demand Justice for Ivy and Improved Animal Rights Enforcement in Albuquerque

The Issue

Ivy, a beloved pet, suffered a tragic end in a garage that was deemed unsafe for inspection by the city of Albuquerque, New Mexico. This incident tragically highlights the urgent need for improved animal rights enforcement in our area. Despite the current Pet Ownership and Animal Protection laws in place in Albuquerque, Ivy was left to languish in peril. This dire situation could have been averted if the city had prioritized the welfare of all living beings, irrespective of whether they are human or not. It is a common belief that if a person had been trapped in that garage, immediate action would have been taken, a stark contrast to Ivy's neglect. We must remember that animals, like humans, are sentient beings capable of experiencing pain, and as such, deserve equal consideration when it comes to safety measures.  Therefore, in honor of Ivy and countless other animals suffering from inadequate corporate and administrative policies, we urge the city of Albuquerque to take responsibility for this incident and establish rigorous protocols for situations like these in the future. By doing so, Albuquerque can set a positive precedent for other cities and pave the way for more humane policies that respect all life forms. Please sign this petition to demand justice for Ivy and appeal for the stronger implementation of animal rights in Albuquerque.
