Demand Justice for Ian Persaud - No House Arrest for Murderers

The Issue

Our beloved Ian Persaud, a young mentor, loving husband, and father of two was brutally murdered while on a date night with his wife in Prince George County, Maryland. A respected Vice President and Managing Partner at Phoenix Private Wealth, his life was cut short in the most tragic way. His attacker Joshua Mollette Anderson was apprehended but shockingly let go on house arrest by a Prince George County judge. This is not only an affront to our family's grief but also to justice itself.

Ian's children are left without their father; his wife without her partner; and we as a family are left grappling with the pain of losing someone so dear to us. All while the murderer enjoys the comfort of his home under house arrest.

Maryland seems to be desensitizing murder crimes by allowing this leniency towards murderers. This is unacceptable and sets a dangerous precedent that undermines public safety and trust in our judicial system.

We demand that Joshua Mollette Anderson be held accountable for his actions in accordance with the law - no house arrests for murderers! We call upon Prince George County Court to reconsider this decision immediately.

This plea comes from deep personal anguish as Ian was my cousin. His loss has created an irreplaceable void in our lives. We cannot let this injustice stand unchallenged.

Please sign this petition urging Maryland courts to uphold justice for victims like Ian Persaud by ensuring their attackers face appropriate legal consequences rather than being allowed on house arrest until sentencing. This is just not giving us hope in the judicial system
