Demand justice for child victims: Extend Robert Morris's sentence

Demand justice for child victims: Extend Robert Morris's sentence
The Issue
The sexual crimes against a child are the most unforgivable. It ruins their entire life. Even if life turns out ok, that trauma will always live inside the victim. Children are still developing. They are defenseless. It is our job to protect and defend them from monsters like Robert Morris.
Pastor Robert Morris has been sentenced to just six months in jail followed by a 10-year suspended sentence for committing heinous acts against a child. This sentencing does not reflect the gravity of the crimes committed nor does it serve justice for the survivors. Cindy Clemishire, his victim, was only 12 years old when it started, and lasted 4 years. She has had to live with this pain for over 40 years now. A mere six months behind bars is not enough to ensure the safety of our children and society, nor does it offer any real consequences for such appalling actions.
Statistics tell us that sexual abuse against children has long-lasting psychological effects, including anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). According to the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN), every nine minutes, a child is sexually assaulted in the United States. The impact is profound and enduring, affecting every facet of life for the victim.
We need to demand a stronger judicial response to protect vulnerable children and prevent further trauma. Extending Pastor Morris's sentence to serve a full 10 years in prison will not only deliver a strong message against child abuse but will also reassure victims and their families that justice can indeed be achieved.
Join me in calling for the judicial system to re-evaluate this sentence. Sign this petition to demand a full 10-year prison term for Robert Morris. Together, we can enforce the idea that crimes against children deserve the harshest of penalties. Our future generations deserve to grow up free from fear and harm. Let's take a stand and make our voices heard.
