Demand justice for Brandon Bacon Hurley's tragic death

Demand justice for Brandon Bacon Hurley's tragic death
The Issue
On the afternoon of April 5, 2025, my life changed forever. My son, Brandon Bacon Hurley, a beloved father of three, was tragically gunned down at Belfry parking lot. Despite numerous eyewitnesses, video and clear evidence pointing to a fatal shooting. Bacon being unarmed was shoot twice, the Pike County authorities had shockingly informed me that there is insufficient evidence to present his case to the grand jury for indictment. Pike county prosecutors have now been recused and a new commonwealth Prosecutor has been brought in. I was informed today 10-28-2025 that it has been postponed for the second time to take to the grand jury.
This is not just a miscarriage of justice; it’s a devastating blow to our family and a jarring shock to our community. Brandon, fondly known as "Bacon" to his friends and loved ones, was more than a victim. He was a devoted father, a cherished son, and a steadfast friend. His memory deserves justice, and his children deserve answers.
We, as a community, cannot let this injustice slide. Nearly 7 months have passed since that fateful day when Brandon was shot on KY Hwy 319, yet Paul Coleman, the shooter, walked away uncharged. This is an unacceptable oversight that must be corrected immediately.
Our goal is to urge the Ky Commonwealth’s Attorney to re-evaluate the evidence and move this case to the grand jury without further delay. We must hold those accountable who act with disregard for human life and ensure that Brandon's tragic death does not go unanswered.
We are calling for 5,000 signatures to present to the District Attorney’s office, demonstrating our steadfast demand for justice. Together, we can advocate for accountability and ensure that no one evades justice after taking a life.
Please sign this petition and share it widely among your network. Let us unite in demanding justice for Brandon Hurley. Thank you for standing with us in this fight. #JusticeForBrandon
