This petition is deeply personal to me. I have an autistic cousin and the thought of someone causing her harm is unbearable. It's cruel and unfair that child was innocent all he wanted was a friend he shouldnt have to suffer, especially when some people serve 40 years in prison for non-violent offenses like my father did, for drugs and alcohol.

Recently, a young autistic boy was the victim of attempted murder at the hands of a teenager. If he succumbs to his injuries, this will be classified as murder. Yet, there are concerns that this teenager may not face appropriate legal consequences for her actions. There is no reason she can give that would make this right she hurt this little boy and has no regret we dont even know why she did it besides him asking to be friends with her but its crazy to think that someone would beat a 8 year old autistic kid up because he wanted to play this is sick and so messed up. i hope she gets what she deserves 

In America alone, approximately 1 in 54 children has been identified with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) according to estimates from CDC’s Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network. These children deserve protection from violence just like any other child.

We must ensure justice is served not only as a deterrent but also to send a clear message that violence against vulnerable individuals will not be tolerated in our society. We demand that if found guilty, this teenager should face appropriate sentencing including imprisonment without parole considering the severity of her crime.
